above the pic 1 , I use fossil open the asmbb.fossil , but the soft link in theme template ，such as MoLight ， the softlink is become normal file .

so How I make this become soft link? as pic 2 , I extarct asmbb.tar.gz ， the soft link is keep ,so I need to use this files override the repo files ?

I think that you openning in WSL and VsCode has the arrow symbol on the right side show that it a symlink

fossil settings allow-symlinks on
